r
SYSTEM DESIGN
FOR GARY RODERICK
OF LOT 2, BLOCK I, ABINGDON GLEN
ORONO, MINNESOTA
7-28-86
1. Percolation Rate, Type of System.
12.6 minutes per inch, Shallow Trench System.
2. Proposed Flow Rate.
4 bedrooms @ 150 G.P.D. = 600 G.P.D.
3. Soil Treatment Area Required.
Use 1.67 percolation factor x 600 G.P.D. = 1000 Sq. Ft.
4. Size and Number of Trenches.
Four trenches 3 feet wide and 83.3 feet long = 1000 Sq. Ft. These trenches
would be spaced a minimum of 7.5 feet apart center to center and be about
one foot deep in the natural soil.
5. Drainfield Rock Needed.
37.0 cubic yds. of rock is needed to have 6:^inches under and 2 inches over
a 4 inch distribution pipe.
6. Septic Tanks.
Two septic tanks, of 1000 and 750 gallons minimum are needed. In addition a
third pumping tank and pump are needed to reach the higher drainfield area.
The pump should also be equiped with an alarm device to warn of pump failure,
7. Additional Information.
All construction traffic must be kept off both the primary and alternate
drainfield sites and no grading may be done on the alternate area at any
time. All runoff water should be diverted from the drainfield area. The
original drainfield areas tested are in the proposed house location, so
these new areas were tested farther up on top of the knob.
If any additional is needed, please contact me.
Sincerely,
PERCOR, INC.
Mark S. Gronberg
PCA certified
