�ONW <br /> Orono City Council Work <br /> Session Minutes <br /> Monday,April 25,2022 <br /> ESH0Council Chambers <br /> 5:00 p.m. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Dennis Walsh, Council Members Aaron Printup, Victoria Seals, and Matt <br /> Johnson. Staff members present were City Administrator/Engineer Adam Edwards, and City <br /> Clerk Anna Carlson. <br /> 1. Fire Department Update <br /> City Administrator/Engineer Adam Edwards began discussion explaining the two options <br /> laid out in the packet. Edwards is looking to Council for feedback on the request for <br /> proposal for fire and rescue department operational study. <br /> Mayor Dennis Walsh noted that phase one will include working with a consultant and <br /> then developing the plan. <br /> Edwards discussed a timeline for planning out the process. <br /> 2. Internet Discussion <br /> Edwards began explaining the broadband internet availability options within Orono and <br /> opened discussion with the questions outlined in the memo. <br /> Council Member Victoria Seals expressed concerns with Mediacom and noted it would <br /> be preferred that they provided better service to our residents. She added that is seems <br /> that the city cannot do much about it. <br /> Walsh noted the city doesn't have enough population to get more fiber out here.
