He continues to violate and ignore City Codes with regard to hard cover, permitting, and variance
requirements. Killing off all of the vegetation from neighboring properties, bob-catting removal of trees, 'brush', neighbors
landscaping and gardens in what he says is his 'easement' area, (but does that give him the right to do work on the
neighboring property?), he has rigged up electrical & installed a spotlight on a tall tree pointing at the neighbors property,
he is hauling in tons of gravel (just this past week during which several neighbors called both the police and city once
again to put a stop to his continued work without permission) and he has drawn his own lot line to which he plans to
place the gravel for his 'ROW easement'.... Bringing in and increasing hardcover within the neighbors property, as well as,
within 75' of lakeshore etc without permits/permission/variances etc.
This is getting incredibly aggravating. Mr Puzak continues to disregard his neighbors and the City's own Ordinances and
Codes, and from what I know, we've done little from the City perspective to stop him. I've heard of a civil suit, but NOW
he is sending the City a letter disputing HIS rights to be allowed to rent out docks for a 'cabin' with no water or electricity
which he says he is renting out with the docks - is it legal to rent this so called cabin and docks to four different people
!!???This is getting out of hand and I would like an update of what we are doing about it as a City. I have laid low during
this process to allow other neighbors and the City to take the lead on this item but this FLAGRANT disregard for
everything/everyone is too much. Not to mention, when my neighbors call, the City is telling them that I live on the
street, &of course they are doing something, but what does that mean exactly?
We would not allow something like this to continue in Orono anywhere else, what and why is it continuing/unending
here?! Our patience in waning, as you can tell.
Kristi Anderson
Orono City Council
From: Rachel Dodge
Sent: Friday, September 27, 2013 2:45 PM
To: Aaron H.
