Crosby II, Victoria Seals, Aaron <br /> Printup and Matt Johnson. Staff members present were City Administrator Dustin Rief, Police <br /> Chief Coney Farniok, Public Works Director/City Engineer Adam Edwards, Community <br /> Development Director Jeremy Barnhart, and City Clerk Anna Carlson. <br /> 1. COVID-19 Update <br /> Police Chief Correy Farniok gave an update about the COVID-19 pandemic, the uptick in <br /> numbers, and what that means for enforcement. The Police Department will plan to educate <br /> people rather than enforce with violations. <br /> 2. Update on Text Amendments <br /> Community Development Director Jeremy Barnhart presented the Council with a list of <br /> ordinance amendments. Staff is looking for input from Council about priority of the list <br /> shown. The order presented is not shown in order of priority. <br /> There was discussion about taking care of the smaller amendments first and then moving onto <br /> the larger next. The Council would like the Community Development Director to recommend <br /> the changes as needed. <br /> 3. Building Inspection Services RFP Discussion <br /> Council Member Matt Johnson noted that the reason for bringing this to the Work Session <br /> was to give the Council a closer in-depth look at the RFP for Building Inspection Services. <br /> Johnson shared concerns about the RFP document that could result in a limited amount of <br /> responses or bids for service. Johnson noted that staff had shared concerns about Metro West <br /> Inspections possibly not bidding which could lead to further issues down the road. Johnson <br /> noted that we were putting components in the RFP as well as lacking important information <br /> that may rule out a lot of possible offers. Johnson mentioned that the committee has reviewed <br /> the RFP and made it more conducive for bidders. <br /> Mayor Dennis Walsh mentioned that now we should take a look at it revise it as needed or if <br /> needed and bring it forward to publish for bids. <br /> Community Development Director Jeremy Barnhart mentioned the original RFP was based on <br /> the Building Official Job Description. He discussed some of the newer components in the <br /> latest version of the RFP which have been modified or are now optional services to be <br /> provided. <br /> Walsh noted that he and Johnson will evaluate the finished RFP with Barnhart and Rief prior <br /> to its release. <br /> Meeting Adjourned: 5:55 p.m. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
