John <br /> Gerhardson, Public Works Director and Steve Weckman, Septic <br /> Inspector represented the City staff. Alex Vongries was absent. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINIITES - <br /> TOPICS OF DISCUSSION: - <br /> Sandy Beach Swim Area <br /> Bederwood Park <br /> Bike/Hike Trail <br /> Park Dedication Fees - Wildhurst Estate <br /> Lafayette Marsh <br /> Jet Ski Ordinance <br /> Skate Board/Roller Ski Ordinance <br /> 1991 Meetings <br /> Community Education Joint Meeting <br /> SANDY BEACH SWIM AREA - <br /> John Gerhardson had sent notices of the Park Commission <br /> meeting to the residents bordering the Sandy Beach Swim Area and <br /> several attended to express their points of view. The September <br /> 12th meeting minutes were read. The action taken at that time <br /> was to not install a dock for the summer of 1991 at Sandy Beach <br /> and to close the Beach at 7 : 00 p.m. John Gerhardson reported <br /> that no swimming lessons had been given at the Sandy Beach area <br /> by either School District for the last three years. <br /> The following residents spoke concerning the Sandy Beach <br /> problems: <br /> Mr. & Mrs. Richard Nelson, 3908 Cherry Avenue <br /> The Nelsons live right next to the Sandy Beach Swim <br /> area and spoke of the continuing problems of <br /> disruptive and abusive behavior by teens at the Beach <br /> area. This is not a single incident circumstance but a <br /> problem which has existed over several years. They do <br /> not want to cose the Beach but have requested dock <br /> removal and an early closing time to allow them to <br /> enjoy their property. <br /> Mr. Bruce Feldman, 3898 Cherry Avenue <br /> Mr. Feldman reiterated his position by reading his <br /> letter to Mr. Gerhardson. <br /> 1 <br />
