CITY OF ORONO <br /> PARK COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> The Orono P�rk Commission met on Tuesday, October 13 , 1981 . <br /> The following members were present : ATTENDANCE <br /> Chairman Tomlinson , E.rger, Stinson <br /> and Peterson. <br /> According to John Gerhardson , he has SUMMIT PARK <br /> receive3 instruction from the City <br /> Council to proceed with a 10 car <br /> parking lot grading at Summit Park. <br /> Included in the plan was a gate and <br /> an 8 foot picnic table. <br /> Due to resistance from the residents CASCO PARK SKATING <br /> near this park the council has not RINK <br /> persued plans to construct a skating <br /> rink at this park. In light of this <br /> resistance the park commission has also <br /> decided to persue the project no further, <br /> Outfield grading and seeding are to be BEDERWOOD PARK <br /> completed this fa11 , according to John <br /> Gerhardson. <br /> The Park Commission inspected this park <br /> in June, and discussed the parking lot <br /> improvements that are required. The <br /> following recommendation is made; <br /> Resolved: that the Park Commission � <br /> recommends to the City Council that <br /> the folloiwng improvements be made : <br /> l . Parking lot be grad�d. <br /> 2. Posts be installed to control <br /> access. <br /> 3 . Signing, showing parking and <br /> park use rules , be posted. <br /> Resolution Passed. <br /> Se�eral citizens have requested that HACKBERRY PARK <br /> the sattelite toilets be le�t in place <br /> unti� appraximately November lst each <br /> year to accomodate soccer teams using <br /> the park. <br /> Chairman Lee Tomlinson has announced his RESIGNATION <br /> intentions to resign the Chairmanship of <br /> the Park Commission , wishing to continue <br /> as tf commission member.
