Also presen�; were <br /> John Gerhardson, Public Workg Coordinator, <br /> and Bill Reese. <br /> The minutas of the February meeting were MINUTES APPROVED <br /> read and approved. <br /> Bil.l Reese appeared before the Park SKI PROGRA.M <br /> Commission to tell us that he is in- 4 <br /> terested in or�anizing a ski program <br /> for Orono. With Ski Tonka now closed, <br /> the City is in naed of a ski program <br /> as part of a total recreation program. <br /> Questions raised were : <br /> 1 . Location- probably Orono Golf Course <br /> 2. Minimum Number of students to start <br /> up �program. An instructor is needed for <br /> every 10 students. <br /> 3. Cost to participants <br /> 1�. Liability to the City <br /> 5. Snowmaking facilities and other <br /> equipment. <br /> Tomlinson suggested that Reese should now <br /> pursue this program through Toni Berglund, <br /> Community Services. <br /> Massengale passed out 2nd draft of the COMMUNITY SURVEY <br /> Community Survey for the Park Commission ' s <br /> review. A few minor corrections were made. <br /> Massengale thought the survey would be <br /> ready to send out next week. It will be <br /> sent to every household to be returned <br /> two weeks later. <br /> Gerhardson presented the Park Commission PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT <br /> with a list of the playground equipment <br /> ordered for Bederwood Park. TYie equip- <br /> ment will be purchased from Earl T. Anderson <br />
