Absente Berglund, <br /> Hallowell, Kubalsky, Leipold, Mastny, Oberhauser, <br /> and Peasley. <br /> l�iinutes of the Regular Pieeting of August 2G, A�INUTES <br /> 1974, were approved as read. <br /> A discussion was held regarding the questionnaire PARK DEVELOPP4ENT PLAN <br /> Tom IIurns developed for the use of the Park <br /> Commission. It was agreed that the broad over- <br /> view of a plan for Orono parks would be the <br /> first step in the development of a more <br /> comprehensive plan. It was agreed that we <br /> equate needs to long-term (10 years) financial <br /> expectations. It was agreed that Opheim and <br /> Burns would have a plan ready for the commission <br /> to discuss at the November meeting. <br /> Panuska moved, Burns seconded, that the Park SOCCER PROGRAM <br /> Conunission authorize the use of the Piinnetonka <br /> Art Center park field and/or Hackberry Park <br /> by the Orono soccer program on the following <br /> s�=1edules September 16-December 14, 1974, <br /> inclusive, i�ionday through Thursday 5:30 P.T�T.- <br /> 7:30 P.iI. ; Saturday 10 a 00 A. P•�. -3:00 P.II, , <br /> ��ith the understanding that the sponsors of the <br /> program waive all liability of the Village and <br /> the riinnetonka Art Center and that goalposts <br /> at the i•Zinnetonka Art Center be removed when <br /> not in use. F�otion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Opheim announced that George k�lastny resigned RESIGNATION <br /> due to increased business pressures. His George £Zastny <br /> resignation was accepted with regret. <br /> Burns moved, 6�Jysocky seconded, that Brian PARK COPRNiISSION <br /> Peterson be recommended to the Council as CANDIDATE <br /> a member of the Park Commission to fill <br /> cdastny°s unexpired term. Motion, Ayes (4) - <br /> Nays (0) . <br /> Subsequent to the raeeting, T�ir. Peterson asked ` VOLUNTEERS FOR PARK <br /> � that his name be withdrawn from candidacy for COPit�ISSION <br /> the Park Commission. He felt that his responsi- <br /> bilities as this year°s president of a Snowmobile <br /> club would demand his available time. He stated <br /> he would survey his club for suitable volunteers <br /> for the commission. <br />
