ORONO PARK COh'I�tI SSION <br /> The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Orono 8 :00 P.M. <br /> Park Commission was held at the Village <br /> Hall on February 14 , 1.968 <br /> The following members were present: <br /> rTessrs . Dorrel , Otto, tiVhite , L. <br /> Butterfield, Council re�xesentative, <br /> and Mr . A1ixa, ViZlage Administrator . • <br /> Mrs . Lehman �:�sent . Dr . Panuska late . <br /> Guests vrere: �layar Ross , R. Ber�lund, <br /> and TM!r. Albr icht . <br /> The Minutes of the Re��Iar Meeting of ti4INUTES � <br /> January 17 , 19�8y were rea� and apprbved, <br /> The discussion of the �rono Golf Course ORONb GOLF COUR5B <br /> included the use of snowmobiles on the SAFETY <br /> course with children sliding; if mufflers <br /> would solve some of the noise problems ; . <br /> if signs and police checking would make <br /> it safer . <br /> A 64-man league has been playing in the ORONO GOLF COURSE <br /> summer . Discussion also included more PROP�tOTION <br /> leagues , management and pi•omotion of the <br /> course . <br /> Mayor Ross commented that the Council SNOWMOBILES <br /> is aware that snowmobiles are a nuisance <br /> but has hesitated about an ordinance because <br /> of the Iack of general standards t�uhich <br /> exists . <br /> Mr . Butterfield suggested that the lake STREET VACATION <br /> accesses should not be given away because <br /> the Village might want it in later years . <br /> If r�ir. Albricht 's request for the vacation <br /> of an unnamed street in Rest Point Park <br /> and Bergquist ' s Addition to Saga Hill is <br /> approved , it might set a precedent , Mr . <br /> White will look into the matter and make <br /> a recommendation . <br /> The Park Commission should look at the Saga SAGA HILL PLAYGROUND <br /> Hill area for a playground site. <br /> There being no further business , the ADJOURNb9ENT <br /> Meeting was adjourned at 10: 00 P,M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Heinz J.
