` �+�� F, <br /> ORONO PARK COMMISSION � `j,8� c� <br /> �vti ;.�� <br /> .� <br /> MINUTES ` � r <br /> t4���� � <br /> r <br /> � <br /> JtJLY 13, 1966 <br /> The regular monthly meeting of the Orono Park Commission <br /> was held at the Village Hall July 13, 1966. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by the Chairman; <br /> Members present were Mrs. Lehman, Messrs, Otto, Panuska, White, Members Present <br /> Dorrel; also Mr. Bagley, Mr. Mixa, and Mr. Tom Adams. <br /> The minutes of the May meeting were read and approved. Minutes <br /> Correspondence from the Village Administrabor regarding use Correspondence <br /> permit for the Ski Tonka facility was read and noted. <br /> Mr. White advised that he had contacted Mr. Kramer aregarding <br /> acquisition of additional land for the park area at Hackberry Hackberry Park <br /> H�ights. As yet no definite answer has been received. <br /> Mr. White also reported on discussions withthe Orono School <br /> Board regarding recreation facilities. The Orono School Orono District <br /> Board is favorably inclined toward a joint use program for <br /> summer recreation. <br /> Mr. Mixa reported on two areas under consideration in the <br /> Navarre area, and also the Langdon park area, together with <br /> the negotiations which are in procesa with a view to a park area <br /> for the Navarre district. <br /> Mr. White volunteered to work with Mr. Mixa and the Village <br /> officials on this area. <br /> Mr. Adams, as a representative of the Orano Lions Club gave the <br /> Commission a very complete report on the activities of his group <br /> as to the formation of an association in the village and school <br /> district to promote athletics in the area. He advised that there <br /> would probably be another meeting the early part of September. <br /> Mr. Otto discussed North Shore Coagnunity Council facilities, and <br /> volunteered to check with them as to their needa for the coming <br /> season. <br /> There being no further business, the �eting was adjourned at <br /> 9:00 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted <br /> R.
