The spoil piles were the result of the investigative
excavation for the purpose of determining soil contamination. It was thought that there may have been
a release of petroleum products in the area approximately eights years ago; hence a Photo-Ionization-
Detector (PID)was utilized.
The stockpiles were thoroughly analyzed via the PID throughout the excavation activities. The results
of the PID screening did not indicate the presence of petroleum containing products.
Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the field screening of the two soil stockpiles
located at 2130 Wayzata Boulevard, Orono, Minnesota. I can be reached at 612-366-3576.
Sincerely,
Ian Vagle
VEIT
Director—Regulatory Compliance &
Environmental Management
Affirmative Action Equal Opportunity Employer
Contrasting Waste Management
Earthwork Roll-off Containers
Demolition Construction&Demolition Debris Landfills
Utilities Recycling&Transfer Facilities
Foundations Waste Hauling
Environmental Remediation
Industrial Cleaning
