MEMORANDUM <br />TO: ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: JESSICA LOFTUS, CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />SUBJECT: MEDIACOM PRESENTATION <br />DATE: FEBRUARY 13, 2013 <br />You are being sent the following attachments in advance preparation for the February <br />256 work session: <br />Bill Jensen, Regional Vice President of Mediacom, will be present to discuss <br />cable and he has submitted the attached presentation which explains the <br />benefits of directly franchising with Mediacom instead of renewing with the <br />LMCC. <br />2. The LMCC sent the attached letter providing a negotiation update and stating <br />their first priority is the request for full build out. You have also received the <br />127 page Needs Assessment via email earlier this week. The executive <br />summary is attached for your reference. The LMCC is looking for feedback <br />from the cities on the report. <br />3. Other attachments from city staff: <br />• City data on Households, Subscribers, Revenues and Fees <br />• Stubbs Bay Road petition <br />• Unserved Homes Density Review <br />• Mediacom and LMCC Franchise Agreement <br />• Joint Cooperative Agreement — 1982 <br />
