MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> Monday, October 28, 2013 <br /> 5:30 p.m. <br /> Present: Mayor Lili McMillan, Council Members Kristi Anderson, Cynthia Bremer, Lizz Levang and <br /> Aaron Printup; representing Staff were City Administrator Jessica Loftus, Public Works <br /> Director/City EngineerJesse Struve, and Finance Director Ron Olson. <br /> Public Works Director/City Engineer Jesse Struve provided an update on Rest Point Road. It's <br /> recommended the City try to reclaim Rest Point Road and Rest Point Circle for approximately$115,000 <br /> in 2014 if the funds are available. <br /> Stuve presented updates to the 2014 Capital Improvement Plan. Council provided direction to bring <br /> back a recommendation on water charges for the Navarre and north system during the fee schedule <br /> discussion at the next work session. In addition, Council requested they discuss long-term funding for <br /> roads at the January work session. <br /> Discussion ensued regarding the priorities for the CSAH 112 turnback options. Council requested this <br /> item be presented by Hennepin County at the Nov. 25th regular meeting to collect input from residents <br /> on the Orono improvements. <br /> City Administrator Loftus presented updated information on employee compensation. A discussion <br /> regarding lump sum compensation was cut short due to a lack of time, so direction was provided to <br /> have the issue back again at the November 25th work session.
