I Orono Planning Gommiesion. Minutes of meeting held in the Village Hall,Crystal Bay,on March 13,I958,8:00PM .'resent - R.L.Searles,Chairman; S.M. Halperin ,H.M..Boldon,L.C.Davidson, R. J .O'Halloran,E.P.Deeds,lAembers. Wm.Mills was present presenting request for proposed subdivision of some 34 acres of his property into 33 lots on the Death Valley Road & Watertown Road., requesting approval for division of three lots to be included therein for immediate sale.On motion of Davidson,seconded by Boldon,his request was granted. Dale Mickelson was present= asking for approval of the proposed operation of a golf driving range and putting green at Navarre,in the triangle included in the westerly portion of the area on County Road 19 and intersection of Co.Road 86. On motion of Halperin,seconded by Davidson,Committee unamiously agreed to recommend that his request be granted subject howesver,to light,noipe or other public nuisance restrictions and that publication thereof be made for the information of those concerned,prior to meeting of Village Council on March 24th, Howard. Eisinger appeared requesting approval of proposed plan to operate a sanitary land fill on his property located in Section 32 on U.S Highway No.I2. On motion of O'Halloran,seconded by Holdon2the Commission unamiously agreed to recommend that his request be granted. Davidson suggested that Village Council give consideration to possibility of providing road signs to be installed at Navarre reading" Navarre - Village of Orono. Suggestion will be submitted to Village Council for their consideration. no _he question of fire protection was E.iscussed /with further definite action taken as to suggesting that Village consider the matter further. Commission members are concerned about the tax loss that will result in the rerouting of U. S. Highv;ay No.12 suggesting that this subject be further progressed through tha Village Council.
