MINUTES OF A REGULNR MEETING 211 NG 00 ISSO_Z9VILLAGE OF ORONO HELD AT THE VII ,A GOFFICE BLDG . 9 JAN 0 31$1963 Chairman Pro Tem William A.Curry called the meeting to order at 7:50 P.M.The following members were present: Wm.T. Mills 9H. S. Rice and W. Wm Wolfe. Absent: D. J. Ruseell .S.M.Hal.perin.R.L.Bearleo9 H.M.Boldon and D.S.Cleveland. SUBDIVISION o UNA D.Joso PRo'ERTY ° The plan submitted by R,A.Johnsoa (not present) for the sub - division of the Una D. Johnson property on Casco Point was discus- sed and it was tentatively agreed that the plan previously pre- sented May 1962 by the Eberhardt Company was a better one. In the absenoe of RoAodohnson the matter was tabled SASS SITUATION Wm.T. Mills summarized the sewer situation,bringin.g the Com- mission yap to date in all phases of the matter. REPEiESEXTATIVE FOR WEST HENKPLkWCON. The appointment of a regular member of Orono °s Planning Commission to serve as a representative covering the meetings of the West Hennepin Joint Planning Commission was deferred to the. next regular maating,Peb.28,196%which meeting precedes that of the West Henn.doint Plan.Com.by a month. BUILDING SITE RECOMMEN ATION -Wm.M REHOUSE The Committee viewing the Morehouse property (Site Exam.#18) Nan.5th reported. Approval of two building sites was recommended o One of these was on Lots 6,7, & 8,Blk Mtka Summit Park and the seconds one on Lot 199the latter with the proviso that the alleyway be vacated. (except for utility easement) and that an attempt be made to add to this lot by purchase of adjoining property. The Committee recounehd.ed vacation of the alleyway. A motion by Rice to accept the committee ° s report aud make it a matter of record was seconded by Wolfe and carried. RAYARRE AREA STUDY Discussion of the Navarre Area study brought forth a sugges- tion by Mayor H.R.Roso that Jim Hawks be presented to the Navarre Businessman's Association at their next meeting,Feb.1491963.The auggestion was approved. / Rice moved to request the Council purchase eight sets of the printed reports of the Midwest Planning & Research Company for use by the Planning Commission..The motion sms seconded by Wolfe and carried. ZONIRG PROBLEMS U p K.Turnham,V:il.lage Inspector,broughAthe matter of commercial zoning in various sections of Orono. 1t was suggested by the Com- mission that Mr.Turnham submit specific problems for considera- tion.propering the background for discussion of one area for each meeting.
