MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION, VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />AUGUST 17, 1964 <br />Chairman D. J. Russell called the meeting; to order at 7:40 PoM. <br />The following regular members were present: Wm. A. Curry and <br />H. S. Rice; ex— officio members: Wm. T. Mills, D. J. Boll.and <br />K. Turnham. <br />HOUSE NUMBERING PROGRAM <br />Donald J. Boll, Village Administrator, reported on methods and <br />progress of the house numbering program. The preliminary work <br />on this project is completed. It was pointed out that neighbor- <br />ing communities have apparently adopted the same system, which <br />will create an area —wide advantage. The Commission expressed <br />approval of the system. <br />LOT 109 BLOCK 2, WILEY° S PARK AT NAVARRE <br />C. D. Rye was present requesting recommendations concerning the <br />status of the above —named lot relative to building sites. Curry <br />moved to recommend to Council that the property.be approved for <br />one (1) building site. The motion was seconded by Rice and <br />passed. <br />ZONING ORDINANCE STUDY <br />Discussion was resumed on the proposed Zoning Ordinance, center- <br />ing on the Commercial and Industrial Districts, but including <br />also a discussion of multiple dwelling heights and the problems <br />surrounding apartment buildings. <br />The secretary was instructed to distribute to members of the <br />Village Council copies of the work done to date for their study <br />and suggestions. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned,, <br />S.
