MINUTES OF FwGULAR MEETING <br />ORONO PARK COMMISSION <br />JULY 8, 1964 <br />The organizational meeting of the Orono Park Commission was <br />held July 8 at the home of Dr. Panuska. <br />Present were Mrs. Lehman, Dr. Panuska, Mr. Dongoske, Mr. Dorrel <br />and '•'![r. Boll. <br />Dr. Panuska acted as temporary chairman. <br />h1loti.on made and seconded that Roberts Rules of Order be adopted <br />for all procedure. <br />Motion made and seconded that after January, 1965, officers are <br />to be elected to serve for a period of one yearn <br />PIotion made and seconded that the following officers be elected <br />to serve until January, 1965. <br />Dr. Hal Panuska, Chairman <br />Robert Dorrel, Secretary <br />Motion made and seconded that minutes of each meeting will be <br />presented to the Commission at subsequent meeting for approval, <br />after which they will be submitted to the Village Council for <br />publication. <br />The balance of the meeting was taken up with a discussion of <br />the aims and purposes of a Park Commission. The various <br />suggestions which had been presented by the Village Council at <br />an earlier meeting were discussed and as a result three <br />committees were set up to investigate and report on <br />�1� neighborhood -type parks, (2) recreation area parks, and <br />3 natural preserve areas. <br />It was suggested that the firm of Bauer and Associates be in- <br />vited to the next meeting so that they might discuss with the <br />Commission the part which their firm can contribute to Park <br />Commission endeavors. <br />The next meeting will be held August 19, 1965 at the home of <br />Mrs. Lehman. <br />(signed) <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />R.
