MINUTES OF A REGUTAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING COWISSION9VILLAGE <br />OF ORONO. MAY 17,1965 <br />The meeting eras called to carder at 9 :00 P.M. by Chairman CALL TO <br />D.J.Russell'after a joint meeting with the Village Council ORDER <br />and Navarre Buiinesamena <br />Regular memoers present were ft.A.Curry,A.K.Simonson, <br />and H.S.Riee. Ex Officio member Y1m.T.Miils.Absent.*W.W.Wolfe, <br />D.S.Cleveland and D9W.Judkins. <br />Village En ;sneer reported favorably on the new prelimi -• PIRATES <br />nary plat,but indicated that a 25 ft. utility easement be COVE <br />included. Mr.frul:l.iekson and Mr.Coffin were present for the FILE <br />discussion an! agreed to the easement. Curry moved to recur <br />commend approval of the preliminary plat. Rice seconded, <br />and the motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Bruce Simaas was present requesting assurance of <br />SKI- -TONKA <br />continued oreration of the ski slope since it will be <br />FILE #61 <br />necessary to insiall an expensive well for snow making. <br />It was the (,oneeisus of the Commission that Ski -Tonka is <br />in the same cate;ory as the golf course adjoining it.and <br />that its operati)n should be continued on a special use <br />basis until the :iew zoning ordinance might provide for a <br />more permanent tisatus. It was so moved by Rice,Seconded <br />by Simonson and ..arried unanimously. <br />The rough pre.imin.ary plan for the subdivision, of the <br />YIATHER <br />D.A.Mather estat) was explained by Engineer Mills and <br />ESTATE <br />discuss6d.
