,c <br />REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman JAN. 189 1965 <br />De i. Russell at 7:30 P.M. The following regular CA.L?, TO'ORDER <br />m@mbgrg were present: A. K. Simonson, Wm. A..Curryp <br />D. W. Judkins and H. S. Rice. Ea- offioio members <br />present were Wm. T. Mills and Ken Turnham, Absent: <br />D, S. Cleveland and W. W. Wolfe. <br />Mr. Wm. Wear was present requesting the Commission "s <br />opinion as.to the erection of a metal building <br />(40 X 469 18 ft.•heighth) on his property on U.S. 12 <br />west of Brown Rohd, zoned commercial. He was re- <br />quested to draw up his preliminary plans and submit <br />them to the Village Council January 25th. <br />R. L. Searles reported on the Village Council's <br />suggestions as to alterations of the proposed zoning <br />ordinance, He presented a zoning map and informed <br />the Commission that the Council had approved the <br />hiring of Jim Hawks of the Midwest Planning & Research <br />Co., to submit a rough draft of the proposed zoning <br />ordinance within the concepts set forth by the <br />Planning Commission and the Village Council. (Fees <br />roughly fixed at $600.00). The rough draft and <br />zoning map will lead to a series of public hearings <br />bearing on the subject. <br />:f <br />There being no further business, the meeting was ad- <br />journed at 10:15 P.M. <br />S.
