MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD MAY 11, 1992 <br />ROLL <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Mayor,Barbara Peterson, Councilmembers Gabriel Jabbour, <br />J. Diann Goetten and Mary Butler. Edward Callahan was absent. The <br />following represented the City staff: City Administrator Ron <br />Moorse, Public Works Director John Gerhardson, Building & Zoning <br />Administrator Jeanne Mabusth, Police Chief Stephen Sullivan, City <br />Attorney Tom Barrett, and City Recorder Teri Naab. Mayor Peterson <br />called the meeting to order at 7:17 P.M. <br />( #1) CONSENT AGENDA <br />Butler added Item #10 to the consent agenda. <br />It was .moved by Jabbour, seconded by Goetten, to approve the <br />Consent Agenda as amended. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />Motions for all items adopted by consent agenda will be included <br />In the minutes in their respective numerical order. <br />( * #2 & 3) APPROVAL OF MINUTES. <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Goetten, to approve the <br />minutes of the regular meeting of the Orono Council held on April <br />27, 1992. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Goetten, to approve the <br />minutes of the Board of Review meeting held on Apr 11 29, 1992. Ayes <br />4, nays 0. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Bob Beutler, representing Stephen Brown, referred to a letter he <br />submitted regarding adoption of a resolution for property at 3262 <br />North Shore Drive. He asked the Council to reconsider their <br />decision as the property adjacent to this parcel has been purchased <br />by the DNR for a boat launch. <br />Jabbour stated that the Council strongly felt that the garage <br />should be removed and would not reconsider the request. He stated <br />they must be as protective of DNR owned property as of <br />residentially owned property. He noted that whatever happens to <br />the land owned by the DNR 1s insignificant when determining the use <br />of the property in question. <br />1 <br />
