Newkirk and Nylene J. Newkirk, husband and <br /> wife (hereinafter "the applicants") aze the owners of the property located at 1489 <br /> Shoreline Drive within the City of Orono (hereinafter the "City") and legally described as <br /> follows: <br /> Lots 3 and 4,N J Stubbs ls` Subdivision Lot No 2, Hennepin County, Minnesota <br /> (hereinafter the"property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br /> for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-282 to allow a hardco�-er <br /> . level of 35.7%where 25% is normally allowed in order to construct a new home. <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br /> for a variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-305, Subdivision B to allo«�a <br /> new residence to be construcuted on a lot with substandazd lot area and lot width. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> Orono, Minnesota: <br /> � FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File#03-2953. <br /> 2. The property is located in the LR-l:� Zonirig District, �vhich requires a <br /> minimum lot are of 2.0 acres and 200' of width. <br /> 3.
