MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PARK COMMISSION <br />Monday, July 6, 2015 <br />6:30 o'clock p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />The Orono Park Commission met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: <br />Commissioners Jan Berg, Brenda Johnson, Bryce Johnson, Sarah Lindahl, Paul Pesek, and Julie <br />Ruegemer. Representing Staff were Public Works Director/City Engineer Adam Edwards, Community <br />Development Director Jeremy Barnhart, Senior Planning Director Mike Gaffron, and Recorder Jackie <br />Young. Council Member Lizz Levang was present. Chair Rick Meyers arrived at 6:35 p.m. <br />Acting Chair Berg called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Approval of May 4, 2015 Park Commission Meeting <br />Pesek moved, Brenda Johnson seconded, to approve the minutes of the May 4, 2015, Park <br />Commission meeting as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0, Bryce Johnson abstained. <br />Brenda Johnson asked if it would be possible to get the minutes earlier. <br />Edwards stated he will send them out to the Commissioners when he receives them from the recording <br />secretary and then again with the packet. <br />Meyers requested the Commissioners follow up on any items outlined in the minutes that they indicated <br />they would do prior to the next meeting. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None <br />CHAIRMAN'S REPORT <br />Meyers stated the extra trimming has been completed at Summit Beach. Meyers suggested another trash <br />be placed at the beach. Meyers suggested the police department also be contacted about the drinking that <br />is occurring at the park. <br />Ruegemer asked if a recycling container could be placed there instead of another trash can. <br />Edwards indicated he will check with the City's hauler. <br />Meyers stated he also went by Crystal Bay Park and that the picnic table, bike rack, and bench have been <br />installed at the park. <br />Meyers stated he has not gotten back to Emily at Norling Landscape about the improvements at <br />Livingston Park. Meyers indicated the plan is available for the Commissioners to review and that he has <br />made some changes to the plan in order to reduce the costs, Meyers indicated he visited Noremberg Park <br />to get some ideas. <br />STAFF REPORTS <br />Page I of 13 <br />
