I will complete and drop off all paperwork at the City Office. Upon review, please let me know if you need anything else. In regards to base, we were just planning to place a small cement block under each of the four corners to level it(placed above, below or equal to the ground as needed to level each corner). No fill or grading of any type will be necessary. It is very small structure at only 20sq feet. The application fee is $50 plus any engineer costs —I don't anticipate any. What type of base are you planning for the lockbox? Depending on the level of disturbance (or base material brought to the site) an escrow may/may not be required. My intent isn't to add more burden to the project just to make sure that everything is done properly. If you are grading, filling or bringing in material erosion control measures are expected to be put in place. I have a copy of our survey that identifies/marks the proposed location of the lock box. I also have a diagram that details out all of the dimensions of our proposed lock box. It is fully assembled and simply needs to be placed on our property at the agreed to location. Based on the fact that we will not be constructing/building anything onsite, do we still need to apply for a permit? If so,what do I need to submit? As long as your structure meets the definition of a lock box as provided and is set back at least 10'from the side lot line it will be approved. The permitting process will unfortunately take longer than a day or two. Your deadline is today. A survey is required, including hardcover calculations. There will be no plan review fee but there will be a construction escrow, required before the permit is issued, of$2500. This guarantees erosion control and compliance with the proposed plan. We may be able to negotiate a reduced escrow amount based on the level of site disturbance (at our engineer's recommendation) but$2500 is what is required. Please advise.
