An inspection of your septic system was conducted on June 27, 2000. A summary of the inspection
is below.
Septic Tank Condition
1. Pumpout not needed at this time.
The septic system is a compliant system, meaning it meets all or most current City and State
Standards. Enclosed is a list of licensed contractors who work in Orono on a regulaz basis. This
list is enclosed simply for your reference in case your septic system needs maintenance in the future.
Also enclosed is a fact sheet explaining your septic system and how it functions. Finally, an as-built
drawing is enclosed showing the approximate location of the septic system.

This on-site Sewage Treatment System is desi�ned for a future Type 1 five-bedroom home in accordance
with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Chapter 7080 and local ordinances.
I'he periodically saturated soils were located at 14-22 inches (mottled soil). Due to the periodically
saturated soiis, a pressurized mound system will need to be installed to treat the septic effluent. The bottom
of the treatment area must be located at least 3' above the saturated soils. This System is deSigned
with 6 inches of rock
All new tanks need to be insulated if there is less than two feet of cover over the top of the tanks. Clean
outs must be installed on the end of the laterals for maintenance.
11se 7/32 inch perforations on the laterals.
If the future site ever installed and is a five bedroom system. The septic tank volume will need to be 32�0
gallons. If it stays a three bedroom system the existing tanks may be used upon approval of the local
inspector.
The supply line from the lifr station would need to be laid as a force main below the frost line.
Keep all heaw epuipment off'of the proposed treatment areas before during and af'ter construction
The area around both sites must be fenced off bv the contractor before anv construction be�ins
With proper installation and maintenance,this system should have no problem in treating septic effluent
effectively. Nothing other than gray water,(laundry, showers, etc.) Human water and toilet tissue should be
disposed of into the septic tanks. Garbage disposals are not recommended. Additives must not be used they
may cause harmful damage to your septic system. It is recommended that you pump the septic tanks every
two years.
