The minimum driveway width is 8 ft. 5 ft radius flares are allowed at the connection with the roadway. 2. A separate utility disconnection and connection permit will be required for the sanitary sewer connection. 3. Perimeter sediment control measures should be installed by the Contractor and inspected by the City prior to any work, including demolition. Contractor must provide minimum 24 hour notice prior to inspection. Staff conducted a preliminary review based on the information provided and recommends the following items be submitted or revised in order for your application to be considered complete and for the plan review to continue: 1. Certificate of Survey. Our engineer has reviewed the survey and has the following comment: a. Driveway Width. The maximum driveway width allowed for a residential property is 20 feet. The minimum driveway with is eight (8) feet with radius flares of five (5) feet at the connection of the driveway to the roadway. Please update the driveway width as it connects to Orono Orchard Road South and submit and updated survey. 2. Landscape Plan. Prior to the issuance of the building permit a landscape plan must be submitted showing all the proposed exterior/landscaping improvements,i.e. patios,grading,sidewalks,retaining walls,etc. The plan should include the name of the individual performing the work. Any proposed patios, grading, sidewalks, retaining walls shown on the landscape plan should also be reflected on the survey. 3. Hardcover Calculations. The property is located in Tier 3 of the Stormwater Quality Overlay District. Please have the surveyor prepare hardcover calculations showing the proposed hardcover using the City's Hardcover Calculation Worksheet. Enclosed is a copy of the City's hardcover information packet. 4. Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD). Your project may trigger the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District's (MCWDs) permitting requirements; please contact the MCWD directly at 952-471-0590 regarding your project. Please note,the City of Orono will not issue a building permit without a copy of the MCWD permit or documentation stating the proposed project does not trigger any of their permitting requirements. 5. Separate City Permits Required for: a. Demolition. Please note the demolition permit should be issued in the same month as the building permit in order to receive get the SAC credit. b. Sewer and Water Disconnection. c. Sewer and Water Connection. When we decided to alter trusses(basement)Sathre changed proposed top of foundation. We were to drop that off with you but then foundation contractor convinced us to leave everything as it was drawn. But...( unfortunately)excavator gave that changed survey we gave him to the foundation contractor to work from. In the end,driveway slope changes, and of course top of foundation changed from the originally proposed. Basement floor and main floor elevations stay the same We might cut garage opening down a foot to keep the driveway slope easier but top of garage will not change! EJ, whom we work with at Sathre, is out today sick so if there is anything we need to get from him we should be able to get that tomorrow or Monday. Let me know what you would like from me so I can get that taken care of right away.
