I was very disappointed to find that none of the conditions of this permit have been followed. This was to be additional "black dirt" to cover fill from previous to 1991. Instead I find even more blacktop and concrete. The following corrections must be made: By Friday, August 28, 1992, 4:00 p.m. 1. Install silt fence at base of slope to keep fill out of wetland. By September 8, 1992 1. Remove all fill in excess of 100 yards. 2. Only clean fill allowed - remove all concrete, blacktop, junk, etc. Please call if you have any questions. Sin erely, Br ce L. Box 66 �ESH Orono, MN 55356 Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066 June 10, 1994 Larry Anderson 745 Orchard Park Road Long Lake, MN 55356 RE: Final Grading - Removal of Illegal Fill Dear Mr. Anderson: As you are aware, a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy was issued to you on March 10, 1994. The only item to be completed was final grading. This encompassed resolving the Orono Municipal Code violations as follows: 1. Code Section 10.55, Subd. 8 - Excavation/filling within 26' of wetland. 2. Code Section 12.09 - Filling with material that does not meet the definition of clean fill. Corrective action required as follows: a. Regrade in 26' setback zone to original grade (provide as-built survey to verify). b. Grade entire yard to 3 to 1 maximum slope. c. Remove buried illegal fill and call for inspection before back filling. d. Maintain silt fence at 26' setback until groundcover is established. Your failure to resolve these issues leaves the City no alternative but to initiate legal action. Action will be withheld until June 27, 1994. If this deadline is not met, the City will issue citations and refer the matter to the City Attorney for further legal action. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at my office. Box 66 Orono, MN 55356 Crystal Bay, MN 55323-0066 July 13, 1994 Mr. Larry Anderson 745 Orchard Park Road Long Lake, Minnesota 55356 Re: Final Grading - Removal of Illegal Fill Dear Mr. Anderson: On June 10, 1994 the City of Orono required you to resolve existing zoning code violations on your property before June 27, 1994 (letter enclosed). As of this date, only a portion of the work has been completed. The City has also received numerous complaints regarding boat storage on the property. Boats are required to be stored within a building or fully screened so as not be visible from adjoining properties, except boats and unoccupied trailers less than 20' in length, which are not stored for commercial purposes, if stored to the rear of the house and a distance of 10' or more from any property line. The City must require you to bring your property into compliance with City codes before July 26, 1994. If this deadline is not met, the City will forward the matter to the City Attorney to proceed with a formal complaint. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at my office.
