Re: Deck Construction
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Sunday:
It has come to the attention of this department that a deck has recently been constructed on your
property. This letter is to inform you that building permits are required for deck construction
in the City.of Orono.
Therefore the City must require you to submit the enclosed permit application with two sets of
.building plans and a..certificate .of survey showing the location of the deck. Please make
submittals before March 20, 1995. If this deadline is not met, the City may initiate legal action.

Re: Deck Construction
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Sunday:
On May 6, 1995 this office notified you of the requirement for a building permit for a deck
constructed on your property. Shortly after the letter, a contractor stopped in and asked what
submittals were required. The problem was the lack of a certificate of survey. That was the
last activity in the matter.
Therefore the City has established a new deadline of May 1, 1995 for submittals. If this
deadline is not met, the City will initiate legal action. If you have any questions, feel free to
