any further action of this violation.
If you have any questions please call me at 952-249-4600.

1) I have reviewed the proposed septic design for the above-captioned
address.
2) Tanks only are being replaced.
3) The existing tanks must be abandoned and replaced by 2-1250
gal. septic tanks, 1-1250 pump tank.
4) Lines from septic tanks under driveway to the pump tank must
be insulated.
5) Recommend alarm to sound inside home.
INSPECTIONS:
1) Tanks and lines.
2) Final pump and alarm test.

For Code Compliance
A Compliance inspection was completed for-the-eXtSttflt'on-site sewage Wea ment
system located on this property. The system consists of an abandoned gallon septic
tank & a pressurized mou 71. ' :' if 711-
1990's.
a1990's. cR
Soil boring #3 found mottled soil (redox features) at 2.5' below the ground surface.
Soil boring #5 found the original soil at elev.97.4 & the bottom of the rock bed at
elev.99.5 leaving 2.1' of sand below the rock bed & a 4.6' separation from the bottom
of the rock bed & redox features. Soil boring $4 found mottles soil at 1.8'. Soil
boring #6 found the original soil at elev.98.2 & the bottom of the rock bed at elev.
99.5 leaving 1.3' of sand below the rock bed & a 3.1' separation from the bottom of
the rock bed & redox features.
A new 5 bedroom home is proposed for the lot which will use the existing mound
system. The alternate site is for a 5 bedroom mound. The rock bed will be 12' north
of the northeast corner of the existing rock bed (see site plan).
2-1250 gallon septic tanks will need to be installed & 1-1250 gallon pumping
chamber. Insulate the supply line through the driveway. The existing tanks will
need to be abandoned, pumped & filled with soil & a tank abandonment report
completed by a licensed contractor.
A pumping chamber will need to be installed to lift the effluent to the treatment area.
The power supply & switches must be located outside the manhole & pumping
chamber in a weather proof enclosure. A warning device must be installed with a
light & sound device, this is in case of a pump failure.
,
The manifold & supply line must have back drainage to the pumping chamber. The
distribution pipes shall have their ends capped. Be sure the rock & sand fill material
are clean. The sod layer below the entire mounded area must be turned over, just
break up the sod.
If the tanks have Jess than 2' of Cover, the lids, risers & maintenance hole covers
must be insulated to a value of R10.
Cleanouts for each lateral must be insulated & be accessible from finished grade in
an irrigation box with a ball valve.
All neighboring wells are located greater than 100' away from the proposed
treatment area.
Keep all heavy equipment off oflthe proposed treatment area before and after
construction. The treatment area should be marked off before construction. This
design is not valid & the system will need to be relocated if failure to protect the
sites for new on-site sewage systems.
MANAGEMENT PLAN:
The tanks need to be maintained at a minimum of 1 time every 2 years, check with
you pumper to set up a schedule.
System inspected for areas by owner & or Inspector as determined by the local unit
of Government.
Any other requirements as determined by the local unit of Government.
Nothing other than human waste, toilet tissue, laundry, showers, water softners etc.
should be disposed of into the system. Recommend iron filters be diverted out of the
system. Garbage disposals are not recommended. Excessive amounts of soaps,
antibacterial soaps, cleaning a ents, shower cleaners used every shower & chlorine
agents may kill the bacteria needed to treat septic effluent. Additives are not
recommended. Recommend laindering be limited to 3 to 4 loads per day.
Thank You
Steven B. Schirmers
