Subject: Orono Ice Arena Code Review and Building Permit Process
Lyle,
Attached are the print sets to begin the building permit process for the Orono Ice Arena. I am
submitting them, along with the building permit application, on behalf of the owner, Orono Ice
Arena Inc.
One set contains the signed bid documents for CP-1, the earthwork and site utilities package,
issued by Hammel, Green, and Abrahamson Inc.The second set is a 98% complete set for CP-2,
the remainder of the building construction. These are intended to provide information to procede
with a building permit for CP-1 as we had discussed on the phone. The signed bid documents for
CP-2 will be issued within one week, on November 5, and I will forward those to you promptly
to continue to the review process for the building permit for the remainder of the work.
The owner hopes to schedule a groundbreaking ceremony for Friday, November 9 and begin the
site portion of the work for CP-1 on November 11. Please call me anytime with any concerns
and/or questions you may have regarding the drawing packages and schedule.
