The following is in response to the letter dated January 9, 1997 from Lyle Oman, City of Orono
Building Official.
The roof structure over the arena and surrounding spaces has been designed in accordance with
UBC Section 1506 with sufficient slope and camber for dead load deflection to provide adequate
drainage under full live load. This includes unbalanced snow loads due to drifting in accordance
with Chapter 1365 of Minnesota State Building Code.
This will, I hope, reassure you of our compliance with all applicable code provisions.
