The location of the wetland would have to be determined by a wetland delineator. The city is not allowed to recommend anyone for this service, you can search the internet or look in the yellow pages. You could also ask the school district who has delineated the wetland originally. We went out to the site and measured the area and discovered that the structure chosen will not fit and we are considering a narrower plan. (the design was done by another company and we only saw the site when it was under snow) Before we do anything can you tell me how far the playground needs to be from the wetland area. I don't want to start another plan if it won't fit. I believe the area is close to where the tot area is pointed out on the survey. I think that the storage shed is also close to that area. Should I get the person we have been dealing with to meet us there and stake out the site,take a picture and then send it to you? I need to know where on the property the proposed playground is to go. There are setback to the wetlands that we need to be concerned about. I've attached a copy of a survey from 2002, I'm hoping you can show me on there were the baseball association is thinking of a playground. You will see by the attached survey they had expected to eventually add a storage shed and a playground. It appears from the Hennepin county aerial photo (copy attached) that the storage shed was built, not quite where it was proposed, so that's why it's important to know the exact location of the proposed playground. It is beside the ball field on the corner of County road 6 and Crystal Bay road.There will be some site preparation needed including digging 12 three foot holes but it is expected that dirt removal will be minimal.
