The plans are dated 1-12-10. We have the following comments with regards to engineering matters: • The grading and tennis court area plans are acceptable from an engineering standpoint. Revised grading plans should be submitted if earthwork quantities necessitate grading plan changes in the field. • This project will disturb more than 100 CY of material. Sediment and erosion control information meeting the requirements of Orono's City Code 79-7(c)(2) must be submitted. The minimum $2000 sediment and erosion control financial security should be required of the owner for this permit. The school district will be reconstructing a portion of their existing drive and parking area on the south side of their district offices. The hard surface area will not increase, it will actually be decreased slightly. The project will involve the removal and replacement of the existing pavements. In addition they will also be reconstructing the tennis courts at the high school. The pavement and fencing for the tennis courts will be removed and replaced. In addition, the existing practice field area north of the tennis courts will be reconstructed with sand/peat. For both projects we have already submitted to, and received approval from Minnehaha Creek Watershed. If you have any questions regarding this information please do not hesitate to contact our office.
