A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF A SANITARY SEWER SERVICE
FOR 595 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD NORTH
Whereas, the property owner of 595 Old Crystal Road North has requested that the City of
Orono complete a project to install a new sanitary sewer service for the residence on the property and
then assess the property owner for the costs associated with the completion of this project. This project is
necessary because the existing sanitary sewer service has failed.
Whereas, the property owner has signed an assessment waiver agreeing to waive any and all
rights to appeal the special assessment, with regard to any procedural or substantive rights, rights to a
public hearing, rights to any notices under Minnesota Chapter 429 or any ordinances of the city, and the
constitutions or laws of the State of Minnesota or the United States; and
Whereas, the City has obtained from the Hennepin County Auditor, levy number 15384 for this
assessment; and
Whereas, the City hereby authorizes and directs the Hennepin County Auditor to levy the
assessment over a five-year time period at a 6.5% interest rate. Such assessment shall be payable in
equal annual installments extending over a period of five years, the first of the installments to be payable
on or before the first Monday in January 2003 and shall bear interest at the rate of 6.5%per annum from
the date of the adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added interest on
the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 2002. To each subsequent
installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all unpaid installments.
Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota hereby
authorizes and directs the County Auditor of Hennepin County to assess the property identified in the
attached assessment roll, made a part hereof, for the amount appearing along with such property, plus
6.5% interest added as directed. Said amounts to be collected along with property taxes beginning in
2003.

on February 11, 2002
