RE: Resolution of the City of Orono Council No. 2875
Dear Mr. Kallstrom:
I have enclosed a copy of the above referenced resolution advising that the conditional use permit
that allowed the temporary use of a portable liquid natural gas vaporizer on the property located at
530 Old Crystal Bay Road North expires as of October 8, 1995.
A recent inspection confirmed that the area is still fenced in and appears to be still in use by
Minnegasco.
If the use is to continue at the site,Minnegasco must file a new conditional use permit with the City.
Staff recalls during that review that this was to be a temporary solution for the area and that
Minnegasco was to provide a permanent facility to meet service needs of the community. It would
be very helpful if you include a status report on this matter with your new conditional use permit.
A conditional use permit application has been enclosed for your use. Please note October 27th is
the deadline for the last meeting of the 1995 calendar year,November 20, 1995.
Please contact my office if you have any questions pertaining to the filing of a new conditional use
permit or if you have officially ceased all use of the property.
