Re: Reroof Permit
Dear Mr. James:
This letter is to confirm that your home at 425 Old C rystal Bay Road North was reroofed without
the required building permit and inspections.
The home was reroofed again in 1999, and some pr lems were noted with the job done in 1997.
The problems noted are as follows:
• Plywood sheathing that was added was run vetical as opposed to horizontal as required by
the manufacturer.
• The upper portion had gaps between the solid wood boards and would have been required
to be covered with sheathing prior to shingling.
• Valley flashing was installed improperly.
• Flashing at porch addition was installed improperly and leaked at first rain.
