Dear Mr. and Mrs. Will:
We are again getting complaints about the dust and noise from the
motorcycle racing on your property. Residents generally value the
quiet, rural nature of Orono, but while lots are quite large, the City
is not out in the sticks. Orono is a collection of residentially
zoned neighborhoods. Racing loud motorcycles is certainly not
compatible with a . residential zone.
The Orono Zoning Code restricts such noise to your own property. We
would appreciate your cooperation in observing this ordinance and
maintaining the peace and quiet in your neighborhood.
Enclosed is a copy of the Orono ordinance for your review. If you

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Will:
As I discussed with Ann on the telephone, we are still
getting complaints about the noise and dust coming from
motorized vehicles on your property. While the use of your
track has been reduced, I am told that it is still used by
your children and others from the neighborhood.
I think that this lower level of usage may have been
tolerated better if there had 'not been such heavy usage
earlier in the summer.
Please remember that Orono Zoning Ordinance 10.60, Subd. 3
restricts noise to your property boundaries except for
"parking, loading, constructionor maintenance operation."
Future complaints will be dircted to the Orono Police
Department for resolution, since the problems are usually on
weekends and during the evening.
