In case another builder comes in to take over my permit application for 2490 Old Beach Road, I would like my
application withdrawn and the fee refunded, if possible. I've not been reimbursed by the property owner, and
do not authorize a transfer to the owner or another contractor.
Let me know if you see anything. I am meeting with the owner tomorrow, and hope to get things cleared up.

Re: Building Permit Application#2014-00909
2490 Old Beach Road
On August 18, 2014 the City received a building permit application for a new principal structure. Your application is
incomplete. The following items must be submitted or revised in order for your application to be considered
complete and for the plan review to continue:
ate of Survey. A survey was provided, but it was not to scale. Please provide two copies of a scalable,

fu size certificate of survey. Our engineer will review the survey once we receive a scalable copy, so there
ay be changes necessary based on his review.
2. Building Height. The eyebrow shown on page 3 of 11 (rear elevation 1/3) above the master bedroom
balcony is the highest window used in building height measurement. Using this eyebrow makes the defined
h t 30.25', where 30' is allowed. Also, the eyebrows shown on page 1 of 11 (front elevation 1/1) cannot
e windows; please label as panels,vents, etc. Submit revised plans for our review.
3. Escrow & Escrow Agreement. Permits involving grading and/or review by the City's engineer require
submittal of an escrow and an escrow agreement. The purpose of the escrow is to guarantee reimbursement
to the City for out-of-pocket costs incurred during the review of your plans. Additionally this escrow will
guarantee conformance with City Code Chapter 79 relating to erosion control and stormwater. The City
currently hold $2,500 in conjunction with the demolition permit. No additional escrow money is required at
this time. An updated escrow agreement is enclosed. The property owner must sign the updated escrow
agreement and return it to us.
4. Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) Permit. A copy of the MCWD permit for the demolition was
submitted with the application. Please contact the MCWD directly at 952-471-0590 regarding your project
and their permitting requirements.
Please note, the City of Orono will not issue a building permit without a copy of MCWD permits or documentation
from the MCWD stating the proposed project does not trigger any of their permitting requirements. The above
information is required in order for the plan review to continue. Please feel free to contact me at 952.249.4620 or by

number 2014-00909. The property owner has decided to use a different builder. The new
-builder has submitted a new application and has paid a new advance plan review fee.
Please refund $5,041.89 to Stonewood LLC..
