Dear Mr. &Mrs. Wingerd:
I am writing in regards to the above addressed property,tax parcel number 06-117-23-41-
0104. 1 spoke with you at the property on March 9,2006 about the need for a building
permit for the shed you are constructing. You stated you did not think one was necessary
do to the size of the structure. I informed you that Orono requires a permit for any size
building.
I did not post a stop work order on the building because you agreed to stop in the City
Hall by the same afternoon and apply for the permit. It is now Monday afternoon on
March 13,2006 and you still have not applied for a permit. I am regretting the fact I did
not post the property last Thursday. I must now require you to apply for a building
permit by no later than Monday March 20, 2006. If a permit has not been applied for by
then,I will post a stop work order on the property and start procedures to have the shed
removed from the property.
You will need to bring with you a copy of your certificate of survey or site plan to scale
showing the location and setbacks of the shed, a cross section building plan and a
materials list when applying for the building permit.
