Excerpt from National Wetland Inventory Map
Your wetland is not only on the City's "protected wetland" maps but also appears in the National
Wetland Inventory. The types of work you are contemplating likely will require a permit from the
Minnehaha Creek Watershed District(471-0590)and possibly from the Minnesota Department of
Natural Resources (772-7910) and the Army Corps of Engineers(220-0362). You should contact
each of these agencies regarding permit requirements. Ali additional information source might be
the Hennepin Conservation District (544-8572) whose staff may be.able to assist you with some
guidelines and design parameters for creating a pond within your wetland.

PERSON IN CHARGE OF WETLANDS
We have the property located across from the new golf course,at North Stream Road and '
Spring Hill Road.
It is very obvious to us that we now have more water in our swamp than before with the creation ofthe
small pond on the other side of the road on the golf course.
So that we can clean this area up and eventually sell this lot,please help us by either correcting the problem
or allow us to create our own pond on our side of the road. This area is a nuisance,and needs to be
corrected.
I'd like to know exactly what options we have.
