Dear Ms. Caldwell:
It has come to the attention of this office, that you are listing the property at 4485 North Shore
Drive, Orono. The City would like to inform you of restrictions regarding the cabin on the
property. - The property is located in a Single Family Residential Zone, therefore making the
cabin a non-conforming structure. Under City codes this non-conforming structure could not
be rented out as a separate dwelling unit and any repairs done to the building would require a
zoning review. The City is asking you to relay this information to prospective buyers to prevent
any misunderstandings or possible hardships.
