RE: Deck Construction
Dear Ms. Knodel:
On 11/9/00 this office notified you of the requirement for a building permit for the decks that
were replaced on your property. You responded indicating personal problems were preventing
you from dealing with the issue until spring.
This letter is a reminder that this issue remains unresolved. Please submit the following:
1. Building permit applications
2. Deck plans
3. Certificate of survey showing decks
4. Hardcover calculations
A deadline of 7/16/01 has been established for submittals or removal of the decks.
If this deadline is not met the City may initiate legal action. If you have any questions, feel free
to contact me at my office.

Re: Deck Constructon:
Dear Ms. Knodel:
An inspection was conducted on your deck and it was determined that at least the lake side deck
was a complete replacement. Orono city code requires full compliance with setbacks, hardcover
and any other zoning or building codes when something is replaced. Therefore the City must
require you to submit the following:
1. Building permit applications
2. Deck plans
3. Certificate of survey showing decks
4. Hardcover calculations
A deadline of 08/06/01 has been established for submittals or removal of the decks.
If this deadline is not met the City may initiate legal action. If you have any questions, feel free
to contact me at my office.
