The righcs of individual on whom the dara is scored or to be stored shall be as set forth ia this section. Subd.2. Information req�rired to be given individual. An individual asked ro supply private or confidendal data concerning himself shall be infarmed of: (a)the purpose and intended use of the cequested data within the collecting rstate agency,political subdivision,or staoewide system; (b)whether he may refuse ot is legally required co supply the requested data:(c)any lmown consequence arising from his supplying or refusing to supply private or confidential data;and(d)the idenriry of other persons or entides authorized by state or fedeial law W receive�e data. This requirement shall not apply when an individual is asked to suppiy investigadve daa,punuant to section 13.82,subdivision 5,to a law enforcement officer. Access to data by individual. Upon request to a respoasible authoriry,an individual shall be informed whether he is the subject of stored data on individuals,and whether it is ciassified as public,private or confidet►aal. Upon tus further request,an individual who is the subject of stoced private or public data on individuals shall be shown the data without any charge W}um and;if he desires,shall be infarmed of the content and meaning of[hat data. After an individaal has been shown the private data and informed of its meanin8,the data need not be disclosed to him for six months thereafter unless a dispute or acrion pursuant to this secdon is pending or addidonal data on the individual has been collected or created. The responsible authority shall provide copies of the private or public data upon request by the individual subject of the data. The responsible authority shall comply iaunediately,if possible,with any request made pursvant to this subdivision,or within five days of the date of the request,exciuding Saturdays.Sundays and legal holidays,if immediate compliance is not possible.
