Dear Mr. Cleary:
It has come to the attention of the off ce that you have constnxcted an addition to your
garage at 4109 North Shore Drive. This letter is to notify you that a building permit is
required for garage additions in Orono. Permits are required to insure that building and
zoning code requirements are met. It appears, from our records that the addition does not
meet the required 30' setback to the rear property line. Therefore the City must require �
you to remove the addition. A deadline of January 4,2005 has been established. If
this deadline is.not met.the city may initiate legal action, Please feel free to contact me at

Dear Mr. Cleary:
It has come to the attention of this department that you added a deck to your home at 4109 North
Shore Drive. As this was not shown on the plans and survey for your addition/remodel, a separate
permit is required. Please provide a building plan, an application and a survey with the deck shown
on it. A review will be conducted and if it is found to meet the applicable building and zoning
codes, a permit can be issued.

Re: Deck
Dear Mr. Cleary:
On October 19, 1998 this office notified you of permit requirements for a deck constructed on your
property outside the scope of the building permit issued for remodeling. As of this date, this issue
has not been resolved.
The City has also received a complaint about commercial use of your property. The bus and crane
truck parking is a violation of Orono Municipal Code Section 10.61, Subd. 4 (G). The parking of
the smaller trailer is a violation of Section 10.60, Subd. 13.
Therefore the City must require you to bring your property into compliance before April 19, 1999.
