Do normal environmental conditions exist at the plant community?
♦ Yes. The canopy of the wetland has not changed for several years. There is one mature Silver Maple
on site,and several younger Silver Maple and Green Ash trees in the under story. These under story
trees are approximately 25 years old. There is no grass/herb layer present. Much of this layer has been
covered up by leaves from the trees on site. The grass/herb layer is present on an adjacent property,
but that area does not have any canopy.
Has vegetation,soil,and/or hydrology been significantly disturbed?
♦ No. The hydrology in this area would be the only thing that maybe questioned,but would need
significant study. In looking at urban settings like this wetland is located in,I tend to assume that the
hydrology has been slightly changed due to the added bounce from impervious surface. Also with
homes all around this site,the effect of sump pumps would not be known unless further study is
completed.

♦ Yes
Rationale: Based on soil characteristics,it was determined the soils in the area are hydric.
Hydrology
Is the ground surface inundated?
♦ Yes, water was not present at the surface,but was present within the probe hole after other
investigation was completed. It is also noted that the investigation was completed after the area
received several inches of rain over the weekend.
Is the wetland hydrology criterion met?
♦ Yes
Rationale: The primary indicator of drainage pattern in wetlands was used. The basin showed signs of
hydrology being present during the growing season. This basin is a wetland.
Jurisdictional Determination and Rationale
The basin identified within this report has met all the requirements to be a wetland. For future reference,
the wetland delineation should be surveyed and noted on the plat. Any work within wetlands should have
prior approval from all agencies which have' •isdiction.
