Dear Ms. Johnson:
The above-referenced property is located within Orono's LR-1C
Single Family Lakeshore Residential (� acre, sewered) Zoning District.
That Zoning District allows one duplex on a single lot as a
conditional use when located adjacent to a commercial district and
constructed within 200' of that district. Such a use requires
approval of a conditional use permit by the City Council.
City files document no previous application nor approval for
duplex use of the property at 3400 North Shore Drive. A conditional
use permit would have to be applied for and approved in order to
create a duplex on that property.
