Dear Mr. Stauffer:
Currently there is a sanitary sewer line on your property
that is owned and maintained by the Metropolitan Waste Control
Commission.
As a result of the recent sewer construction in the area by
M.W.C.C., the City of Orono will be receiving the ownership of
that sewer line. That sewer line runs into a lift station at
3200 North Shore Drive. Because of the installation of the new
lift station by Maxwell Bay Marina, the City of Orono can
eliminate the lift station at 3200 North Shore Drive. In order
to accomplish this, we will need to construct a new line that
will flow in the opposite direction that it is now flowing.
There are permanent easements on your property allowing that
sewer line and lift station to be there. However in order to
place a new sewer line, we will need temporary easements from
you.
A temporary easement allows us to place dirt, materials and
equipment on your property during construction of the sewer line.
Once the project is completed, we would restore the property to
its original condition. Attached for your review and file is a
plan of the project and a copy of the temporary easement needed
to construct the project. We would hope to begin construction in
February or March.

Dear Ronald:
; In January 1989 I met with you to ex�lain the City sanitary
� sewer project that would be crossing your pro�erty. You signed a
temporary construction easement so that we could proceed with the
. project. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the City's
contractor could not complete the project.
� We have a new contractor and he is scheduled to begin work
on or near July 9 , 1990 and should be near your residence the
week of July 16th or 23rd, 1990. Unfortunately the temporary
easement you signed expired in June of 1990. Therefore we will
need an updated easement from you. Enclosed are the documents
that require your signature. Please sign them at your earliest
, convenience and return to me.
