J � G 'I <br /> A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br /> TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTION 78-1288 <br /> FILE NO. 06-3193 <br /> WHEREAS, Marlc Finney & Kristine Finney, husband and wife (hereinafter "the <br /> applicants") are the owners of the property located at 3210 North Shore Drive within the City of <br /> Orono (hereinafter the "City") and le�ally described as follows: <br /> That part of the west 57.3 feet of the east 115.05 feet of Government Lot 1, <br /> Section 8, Township 117, Range 23, lyin� north of a line drawn westerly pass at <br /> right angle through the east line of said 57,3 feet, to a point distant 165 feet north <br /> of its intersection with the northerly line of"Lydiard's Park" Lake Minnetonka, <br /> Hennepin County, Minnesota(hereinafter the "property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono for a <br /> variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1288 to allow 6,801 s.f. or 41.7% <br /> hardcover within the 75'- 250' zone in conjunction with the construction of a 24' x 30' detached <br /> two-story garage. <br /> NO'�V, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by fhe City Council of Orono, <br /> Minnesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File 06-3193. <br /> 2. The property is located in the LR-1B, One Family Lakeshore Zoning District <br /> which requires a minimum lot area of 1.0 acres and a minimum lot width of 140'. <br /> 3. The Planning Commission reviewed this application at a public hearing held on <br /> May 15, 2006 and recommended approval of the 75' — 250' hardcover variance <br /> based on the following findings: <br /> a.
