Subject: Permit Application — Halper Residence (#2010-00079)
Before the building official reviews building plans planning staff reviews building permit
applications for zoning code compliance. We are unable to complete this review for
the following reasons:
1. The survey does not meet the minimum standards (see enclosed information
sheet). In particular the survey should show the location and setbacks for the
proposed deck and sunroom as well as the location and setback of the new roof
over the existing dormers. (All new construction must meet a 10' side setback.)
The elevation of the basement floor or crawl space floor must be noted.
2. Hardcover calculations are not provided. The ones in the file and nine years old
so may not reflect existing conditions. Remind the surveyor to measure
hardcover zones from the inlet at North Shore Marina.
Building code review will not occur until after the zoning code review is completed. If
