General Instructions:
1. You may be required to obtain other permits, i.e.: well abandorunent, sewer, etc.
2. Work must not begin unless the permit card is available on the job site.
3. A 24-48 hour notice is required for all inspections. Call (952) 249-4600.
4. Sewer must be discontinued at the City service by qualified contractor before demo permit is
issued.

In return for issuance of said Demolition Permit, the undersigned owner hereby agrees as follows:
1. The structure(s) shall be kept enclosed and/or secured until such time as demolition is
complete.
2. Demolition debris will be kept off adjoining property and/or the public rights-of way unless .
specific prior approval is obtained in writing for temporary use thereof.
3. Foundations shall be completely removed from the ground.
4. All demolition debris shall be completely disposed of off site in accordance with all
applicable PCA requirements.
5. Water wells must be abandoned in accordance with State Health Department regulations.
6. Inspection required when all debris has been removed,before backfilling.
7. Within 5 working days of superstructure removal, a final inspection shall be requested. The
site shall be left clean and clear of all debris, with any excavation filled with earth level with
the adjacent ground elevation(except when such excavation is to be used as part of a new
building and such new building is actually under construction).
8. Septic systems must be abandoned per Minnesota Rules Chapter 7080. All septic tanks
must be pumped, crushed and filled with native soils. An inspection is required after the
tanks are pumped and before the tanks are crushed and filled.
9. The undersigned owner shall and hereby does indemnify and hold harmless the City of
Orono, its agents, employees and assigns from and against all claims, damages, losses or
expenses, including attorney fees, against the City, its agents, employees and assigns arising
out of or resulting from the demolition described herein as performed by the property owner,
his employees, agents, subcontractors or assigns.

To the property owner: Demolition of the principal dwelling structure on a property may
automatically terminate certain rights which may have accrued to the property by virtue of the continued existence of
that building.
• Rebuilding on a substandard lot of record(i.e. a lot that does not meet the zoning district required lot area orwidth
standards)will, with few exceptions, require variance approval by the City Council, and such approval is neither
automatic nor guaranteed but requires that a hardship be demonstrated.
• Additionally, all current zoning standards will have to be met by the new principal dwelling including setbacks, lot
coverage by structures, hardcover(impervious surface), height limits, etc.
• Where municipal sewer is not available, provision of two (2) sites for a conforming on-site sewage treatment
system is mandatory.
• Unless specifically approved by the City, all accessory structures must be removed at the time of principal dwelling
demolition. This also applies to seasonal and permanent docks,which may not be re-installed until a new principal
dwelling has reached the framing stage.
The following information is presented for the purposes of advising the property owner of the implications of removal of

DEMOLITION PERMIT 2010— �j��� �
ESCROW AGREEMENT
AGREEMENT made this�day of IVvV�� 20,�, by and between the CITY OF ORONO, a
Minnesota municipal corporation ("City")and MiCVlti.�.l i- r"2�mP.lA Si YV12� ("Owners").
Recitals
1. An application for a demolition permit has been filed for demolition of the existing home located at
3095 North Shore Drive ("Subject Property") legally described as Attached as Exhibit"A".

2. In conjunction with the demolition erosion control measures are required as shown on attached Exhibit
NOW,THEREOFRE,THE PARTIES AGREE Ap4 OLLOWS:

1. DEPOSIT OF ON�FUNDS. Contemporaneously with the execution of this Escrow Agreement,
the Owners shall deposit , with the City. All accrued interest, if any, shall be paid to the City to reimburse the City
for its cost in administering the escrow account.
2. PURPOSE OF ESCROW. The purpose of the escrow is to guarantee reimbursement to the City for all
out-of-pocket costs (including planning, engineering, or legal consultant review) the City has incurred to assure that the
erosion control measures are installed and maintained so the property complies with the provisions of Orono City Code
Chapter 79. The financial security may also be used by the City to eliminate any hazardous conditions associated with
the work and to repair any damage to public property or infrastructure that is caused by the work. If compliance with
the approved Land Disturbance Permit is not accomplished within the allowable time period, the Ciry may bring the
project into compliance by use of the security.
3. RIGHT OF ENTRY. The Owners hereby grant the City, its agents, employees, officers and contractors
the right to enter the property to perform all work and inspections deemed appropriate by the City in conjunction with the
required erosion control measures, including but not limited to constructing or completing any and all of the agreed upon
improvements should the Owners' contractor not complete those improvements by the date specified herein.
3. MONTHLY BILLING. As the City receives consultant bills for incurred costs, the City will in turn send
a bill to the Owners. Owners shall be responsible for payment to the City within 30 days of the Owners' receipt of bill.
4. DISBURSEMENT FROM ESCROW ACCOUNT. In the event that the Owners do not make payment
to the City within the timeframe outlined in#3 above, shall issue a Stop Work Order until the Owners pay all expenses
invoiced pursuant to #3. The City may draw from the escrow account without further approval of the Owners to
reimburse the City for eligible expenses the City has incurred.
5. CLOSING ESCROW. Any remaining amount of the financial security deposited with the City for
faithful performance of the plans and specifications and any related remedial work will be released after the completion
and inspection of all such measures and the establishment of final stabilization for the Subject Property.
6. CERTIFY UNPAID CHARGES. If the project is abandoned by Owners, or if the eligible expenses
incurred by the City exceed the amount in escrow, the City shall have the right to certify the unpaid balance to the
subject property pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§415.01 and 366.012.
