I have reviewed the our street file and i find no evidence of an existing retaining wall. Please have the property owner submit photos for our review. Our consulting engineer visited the site; please see his comments below. The retaining wall on the east side of the property does not meet setbacks and must be removed. Also there appears to be changes in the hardcover, i.e. the flagstone walks which are not on the original, approved plan and do not appear to be reflected in the hardcover calculations on the survey. Please have the surveyor prepare as-built hardcover calculations using our hardcover calculation worksheet, copy attached, properly identifying all hardcover on-site. Following are my comments for your consideration: 1. A retaining wall on the east side of the property was constructed within 5' of the property line. A variance/CUP should have been acquired to construct this wall. 1 `2. Additional impervious surface (driveway, walks, and walls)was constructed over what was indicated on the approved Certificate of Survey.
